LMS Administrator (Technical)
The LMS Administrator assists the Federal Technical Lead to support and administer NIH’s Learning Management System.
Location: Rockville, MD (REMOTE)
			Responsibilities		
		- Interface development and maintenance meetings
 - Interface and data feed maintenance between the LMS and other systems
 - Maintaining financial processes in use at NIH, to include developing and troubleshooting data feeds and interfaces between the LMS and financial systems
 - Providing support to ICs to increase their use of the LMS
 - Migrating historical data to the LMS, to include user acceptance testing
 - Providing advice, guidance, and technical evaluation for online training items in the LMS
 - Testing specific LMS functionality
 - Assist with data feed support including any new technology such as APIs
 - Troubleshooting LMS issues and handling Help Desk tickets
 - Providing training and information to the Tier 1 Help Desk
 - Assist the project team with implementing various LMS initiatives at NIH
 - Keep the federal leads apprised of any risks or issues associated with the LMS
 - Assist the federal leads with creating and revising materials for various end user target audiences; items my include job aides, user manuals, and training materials
 - Participate with federal leads in user acceptance testing for LMS development and enhancement projects
 - Attend and participate in LMS team meetings and other LMS-related meetings called by the federal leads
 
Education and/or Experience
Minimum Education Required
- BS/BA in a related field or 5+ years of relevant experience
 
Minimum Experience Required
- Knowledge and experience with multiple server or cloud-based system environments
 - Knowledge and experience on Oracle and SQL platform databases
 - Knowledge and experience working with IT security and dealing with sensitive data (must be able to clearly appropriate background checks)
 - Experience creating interfaces (preferably between training/LMS systems and other systems)
 - Experience migrating data between systems and ensuring the quality of the migration, to include acceptance testing
 - Knowledge and experience working with online training content, particularly in regard to SCORM and Section 508 compliance, and other industry standards for online training content
 - Experience with Help Desk support to system stakeholders
 - Experience with major IT system implementations
 - Familiarity with learning management systems used as an enterprise tool for centralizing training in a large organization
 - Experience using remote/social collaboration tools for training, communications, and customer service
 - Experience with SCORM standards and Section 508 requirements
 - Excellent verbal and written communication skills
 - Excellent customer service skills
 - Knowledge or experience with gathering requirements for a learning management system
 
Other Skills and Experiences Considered Helpful but not Required
- Experience with Saba LMS
 - Experience with Cornerstone LMS
 - Experience with courseware authoring tools
