Over the years Paltech has successfully competed for opportunities to manage government programs both in the US and abroad. Often these programs are related to aspects of our core function, education and training … finding innovative ways to maximize an organization’s human capital and enhance individuals’ productivity and job performance.
Challenge: To support the development of national priorities and enhance the effectiveness of child abuse and neglect programs in states and communities, HHS provides technical assistance, including conferences and meetings, publications, and consulting. In 2005 Paltech was selected to provide program management and support for this effort. Challenges included cancellation by a keynote speaker just two weeks prior to a major conference.
Solution: Paltech’s information technology infrastructure, management systems, and deep network of professional contacts all were crucial to finding a replacement keynote speaker, and to the timely production of conference reports, meeting summaries, and monthly program reports.
Result: The 16th National Conference on Child Abuse and Neglect, held during April 2007 in Portland, Oregon, included more than 1,600 conference participants, 200 speakers, 50 co-sponsors and 40 exhibitors. Paltech was credited by many for success of this and other OCAN events.
